How Sundar Pichai’s Account was hacked ?
It isn’t found how the group is able to gain access to their accounts but OurMine claims that did not use password exposed by 2012 LinkedIn data breach instead, they uses various exploits to pull passwords from browsers. Quora is a Q & A website where questions are asked, answered, edited and organized by its community of users. The company was founded in June 2009, and the website was made available to the public on June 21, 2010.
The Saudi group OurMine pretending itself a “Security Firm” and claiming it is “Security Testing” of accounts and offering support to target users & teaching people to secure their online accounts better so that these incident doesn’t occur again. However this is just a way to promote and sell their own services instead encouraging people to secure their accounts.
OurMine told TNW “We are just testing people security (sic), we never change their passwords, we did it because there are other hackers can hack them and change everything,”
OurMine said that they had hacked Sundar Pichai’s account by exploiting vulnerability in Quora which they claimed has shared the Vulnerability details with Quora.
The hacking group also offers its support to those users it targets and charging up to $5,000 for a “scan” of their social media accounts, website security loop holes, and other security vulnerabilities.
