Mike Rogers chairman of the House Intelligence Committee wants to charge Whistleblower Edward Snowden with murder.
Chairman Mike Rogers said, “the Whileblower Edward Snowden who leaked details about various secret programs of the National Security Agency and its British surveillance programs is a “traitor” and should be charged with Murder“.
Tuesday evening, Mike Rogers the chairman of the House intelligence committee of Representatives Republican shared his thoughts while attending the House of Commons meeting in London. According to him, Whistleblower Snowden is no less than a Traitor who now is resides in the Russia.
“He took information that allows force protection, not only for the British soldiers, but also for U.S. soldiers, and made it too difficult for us to track those activities,” Mike said. “Meaning it is more likely that one of those soldiers is going to get their legs blown off or killed.”
“We are treating snowden, as, I would argue, the traitor that he is. And by the way, and this is important, I would charge snowden for murder”. “Anybody that provides information to our enemy is a traitor, period, pure and simple.”
Roger has repeatedly criticized Edward Snowden and said he may have been working with the Russian intelligence agents to steal US secrets.
“Many don’t find it odd he is in the loving arms of an SVR [Russia’s External Intelligence Service] agent right now in Moscow. I do,” Roger added.
Rogers added “For those of us who have the information, Republicans and Democrats pushing back pretty hard that should have told most people this isn’t a partisan issue”. “Over 95%” of the information Snowden leaked had “nothing to do” with the NSA spying on American or European citizens’ private communications but was about military plans and operations.
Edward Snowden escaped to Russia soon after handing over important secret NSA files to the press and in the documentary of Laura Poitras “Citizenfour”, Snowden’s life in Russia is the main subject.
Lawyers of former contractor snowden had previously been in discussions with the U.S. Government to arrange a way for him to return home, but those negotiations seem to have stalled.
According to a report, This summer Russia has extended Snowden’s residency permit through 2017.
